Solid Bluetooth mouse
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Overall, a good mouse for the Mac. Connects easily, tracking is responsive, range is decent, and fits in the with the Apple look (only with a subtle rocketfish logo on top of of the mouse). The shape is very similar to the mighty mouse for better or worse … not exactly ergonomic but scroll wheel works well.
I ended up buying at a retail store and while reading the back I noticed why it might be more expensive at Amazon. Rocketfish is a subsiduary of Best Buy … I’m sure they’ll make sure it’s cheaper there than other stores.

This mouse is just okay, I’ll be finding another one soon.
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’m an experienced mac user and used the MM until it broke down and I had to replace it. After careful research I decided to use the Rocketfish bluetooth mouse. They market this as an Apple mouse, but it seems as if they realized “Oh, this will work with a mac too” and so they decided to brand it as an Apple mouse to fill a (still) existing market need, though it works better with a PC. Here are my lists indicating what I like and do not like about this mouse.
What I like…
* It’s got a nice color that goes well with my mac.
* The scroll wheel works great both vertically and horizontally and the scrolling sensitivity was normal as compared to other mice (see below for cursor sensitivity).
* The scroll wheel also feels good and doesn’t distract from the experience by being too stiff or clicking too loud.
* The left and right mouse buttons are separated by a distinct spacing in the casing.
* Feels okay, but it’s not an exceptional fit for your hand. Good if you’re not using it for a full-time job.
What I dislike…
* The cursor sensitivity is set waaaaaay too high. There are basically three settings for this mouse’s cursor speed: 1) too slow, 2) too fast, and 3) just below too fast, but bearable.
* Mouse status isn’t indicated in the Mac’s Mouse control panal
* Uses AAA batteries and sucks the life out of them pretty quick (I’ve used four different brands and none of them lasted for more than 2 to 3 weeks)
* Will disconnect after about 8-10 minutes of not being used. So if you’re typing (say an Amazon review or a term paper) and you don’t use your mouse, it will disconnect. Sometimes it will reconnect in about 15 seconds after moving it around, other times, you’ve got to turn the mouse off than back on for it to reconnect. For this reason alone, I will be finding another mouse to use. On the times when it won’t reconnect (even after turning it on and off), if it wasn’t for the Air Mouse application on my iPhone, I’d be hosed.
* Can take forever to connect when starting up your computer, and sometimes it won’t connect at all. If you’re using a desktop, this would really suck if you don’t know the keyboard shortcuts for navigating, etc.
Overall, if you’re not too picky about how your mouse behaves, this might be the mouse for you. I, however, would recommend to keep looking. It’s quirks are really annoying. At first I decided to live with them and just get used to them, but now that I’ve used it for 6 months, they’re more annoying than ever. The disconnecting and reconnection problems are a big red flag. However, if Rocketfish ever decides to revamp this mouse and fix these issues, I’d be willing to give it another shot.

Smooth looking and affordable alternative mouse for Mac
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This mouse has all the features that any other bluetooth mouse for a Mac (or pc really) but with an industrial design that is simply more pleasing.
It is lightweight, and has laser tracking so it is very nice to use and operate. It perfectly fits the palm of your hands and I can use rechargeable batteries that came with mine and they last about a month before needing a recharge so I know it’s very power efficient.

Nice mouse; clicking and scrolling a bit loud
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I replaced a broken wireless Apple Mighty Mouse with this mouse. It works well. The scroll clicking is a little loud for my taste, and I kinda miss the horizontal scrolling capability. The tilt-to-scroll left and right is better than nothing.
It does go to sleep quicker than the Mighty Mouse. After lunch, I have to click to wake it.
I also have a wired mighty mouse, but I’d rather have this mouse than get the scroll wheel and use a cable.

Great mouse

I own two of these mice, one for my Mac Mini (which I use as a TV/media hub) and one for my MacBook. Responsive, stays paired and very energy efficient.

Turned it on, and it worked with my Macs. No software to install. Pretty good accuracy. What more can you ask for?

This mouse is pretty decent. It does its job well. However, it will occasionally disconnect thus requiring a reset of the mouse in order to reconnect it.

4th Rocketfish Mouse as great as prior ones
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased my 4th Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse to have one in my office so I don’t have to haul it from either my home or cottage and my wife has one as well. It is the best mouse I’ve ever used and I’ve been using them for over 15 years. It is very responsive and comfortable and avoids the USB plug in issue with others.
The seller, Fine Estate Auctions, stood behind the product when the first one shipped did not work properly and it was promptly replaced with the current one that works just fine. JPA

Perfect Mac HTPC mouse
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this mouse to use for my Mac Mini HTPC, and I couldn’t be happier. It tracks well on a variety of surfaces, including carpet and fabric. Works well with both OSX 10.5 and 10.6, was easy to register and to pair, and most importantly wakes very quickly from sleep. Range has been more than adequate for me (5′+), even though the computer is now behind the flat panel. Recommended.
